At UP, we believe public transit should do more than just move people. It should lift communities.

We are Umpqua Public Transit,  a re-invented public transportation agency serving Douglas County with purpose, pride, and common sense. Once on the brink, we’ve rebuilt UP into a lean, compliant, and mission-driven agency that puts riders and taxpayers first.

Our fixed routes provide reliable, hourly service throughout the City of Roseburg, and connect neighboring communities including Winston, Dillard, Sutherlin, Oakland, Myrtle Creek, Tri-City, Riddle, and Canyonville, with commuter access that’s safe, timely, and consistent.

We also offer Umpqua Rides, a shared-ride service built to ensure mobility for everyone. That includes:

• ParaTransit, designed for riders with disabilities who cannot use standard UTrans buses. Available within ¾ of a mile of our Roseburg routes, with guaranteed rides when booked 24 hours in advance.
• Dial-A-Ride, providing flexible options for those outside the ParaTransit zone to connect riders to their destinations or to our fixed-route network.

At UP, we’re not just running buses. We’re restoring faith in local government. We’re proving that taxpayer-funded services can be efficient, transparent, and people-first. And we’re doing it with help from our city, county, state, and federal partners and, most importantly, the riders who rely on us.
